Stone Rollups (Free Sample)
Start with the stone on the ground in front of you. Pick and lap the stone. From the lap position take a loading style grip on the stone at 10 and 2. Perform the loading portion of the stone load but do not release the stone. While maintaining a grip on the stone lower back into the lap position. Be sure to extend fully at the top as if you were going to actually load the stone over something. Lower under control back to the lap. Repeat for reps.
Stone Carry (Free Sample)
Start with the stone on the ground in front of you. Stand directly over the stone and bend at the waist to grasp the stone. Squeeze the stone tightly and lift in into your lap just like you would if you were loading it. From here wrap your arms around the sides of the stone, slightly lower than you would for a load. From here pull the stone in close to your body while simultaneously squeezing the stone as hard as you can. Stand up and lean back slightly to bring the stone up to about sternum height. Carry for the required distance. 

Stone Throws (Free Sample)
Start with the stone on the ground in front of you. Pick and lap the stone and then roll it up to your chest as you would to press it overhead. From here get your hands under and behind the stone. Squat slightly and jump forward while simultaneously pushing the stone forward off of your chest. This movement should be done with lighter stones to really work on power development. 

Stone to Shoulder (Free Sample)
......You will use the same technique for shouldering the stone as you do for loading onto a platform or over a bar. The only change would be pulling the stone a little more to one side and getting your hands a bit more on the sides in order to pull the stone all the way to the shoulder. 

Stone Rows (Free Sample)
Start with the stone on the ground in front of you. Bend over and grasp the stone. Squeeze the stone tightly. Without moving your hips use your back and arms to pull the stone to your chest. Hold for a 1 count and then return to the ground. Repeat for reps.

Who Developed the Warrior Strong Program?

Justin Czaplicki

I have over 20 years of training experience and over 10 years of coaching experience. I have been training for and competing in Strongman since 2006, and have trained with some of the best in the world in that sport. 
I am always evolving how I train and also how I coach my athletes. This program is the culmination of the last decade of my own training and coaching a wide variety of athletes. I put a ton of thought and effort into assembling and testing out this program, with our athletes here at our facility, the Jiu-JItsu and Strength Academy in Cromwell, CT. 
I have taken a lot of their feedback into consideration in order to come up with a training protocol that worked effectively for a large variety of people. I am always evolving how I train athletes to give them the best possible results. I hope that you enjoy this program and get a lot out of it. I have no or little experience.
I believe anyone can do this program as long as they are willing to work very hard on perfecting their technique BEFORE trying to use really heavy weights. Like any other program form and technique are paramount. I would recommend starting this program with a coach, or someone knowledgeable in order to ensure that your technique is correct. The video library you get with this program was built with that in mind, and as long you follow the cues in the videos you should be able to perform the movements required
Who is this program for?
This program was developed with the Combat athlete in mind, who needs to focus the majority of their training on their sport. Time on the mat is paramount for the Combat athlete, as this is the sport you compete in. This program will be a great complement to that training without hindering it.
What type of exercises will you perform?
This program will use a mix of Strongman exercises, as well as some standard gym lifts. I feel that these have the best bang for your buck as it relates to both Combat Athletes, and building overall strength and endurance. Strongman implements are awkward and unwieldy, which forces your deep stabilizer muscle to engage much more so than the traditional barbell lifts. The basic Strongman implements that we are going to use are also cheap, easy to get a hold of or make yourself, and easy to teach correct technique on. All these factors make this an effective and efficient workout.
How long are the workouts?
Typically the workouts last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how much rest you take between exercises.
How many days a week do I need to Train?
For combat athletes, whose primary focus is training for their sport I would recommend sticking to 2 days per week with this program.Two days per week will produce good strength gains without taking too much time away from your time on the mat. If you are using this program as your main training, then up to 4 training sessions per week can be done. This will still allow for adequate recovery. This a complete package as far as strength, endurance, and muscle building go. Performing this program 4 times per week will give you all the results you need. It is set up in such a way that every muscle and movement pattern is trained multiple times throughout the week, so you eliminate your weaknesses
What type of equipment do I need?
A lot of this program can be done with very limited equipment. The Strongman implements used( kegs, sandbags, tires, stones) are very inexpensive, and often times can be gotten for free.
What happens if I don't have ___ equipment?
Any of the movements in this program can be done with any equipment you have available. If for instance all you have is a couple of sandbags, you perform every exercise in this program with sandbags.
